A sledding disaster

Ok, so the title makes it sound worse than it was. We decided to take the kids sledding for family night. So we bundled everyone up and headed to the lake. What we thought would be a fun time turned into a bawl fest. That's right, Jax hated it & from the second we left the car he cried. Leah was an emotional mess for some reason that I'm still not sure why, and Kelsey was honery buckets too. So we were there for maybe a half hour tops. However, I did manage to sneak a couple of pictures in, that would lead you to believe we had the time of our lives. Pictures can be so decieving:)
There goes superman!
Jax chillin in the stroller. the only reason he's not crying here is because I'd just set him i there & he saw the crackers.
As you can see in the picture above with me blazing a trail down the hill, Leah is in the background crying and pouting about who knows what!

Aaron, taking a breather!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

We had a fun and crazy December. You all know how busy the holidays can be. We had no free weekends all month. But it is alot of fun. We had my family Christmas party at my brothers house this year. We love getting together with everyone. I had one sister who was not able to make it, but everyone else was there. We ate dinner, and we delivered gifts and Christmas dinner to some families in need. That is what we decided to do instead of exchanging gifts, and I thought it made much more sence helping those in need. It gave us all a good feeling and I'm hoping we just make it a tradition. My girls were really excited to help pick out a gift and wrap it for a little boy who needed it. Then, Santa came and told the kids some stories and let them all sit on his lap, and they all got a little gift. It was fun to see them so excited.

Aaron set Jax down on Santa's lap, and Jax gave him some very curious, crusty looks. I wish I'd gotten a clearer picture of it.

We had a nice relaxing Christmas morning, besides Aaron waking me up at 4:30 in the morning and not being able to go back to sleep:). The girls had been asking for a music box(a cd player) and that is what they got from santa. Aaron and I got them a castle for their princess poly pockets, and they play with it constantly. Santa brought Jax a little basketball hoop that makes noises. It's just his size, and he loves the little basketballs. I think he was still a little tired, cause he didn't really get too excited about all the wraping paper, where otherwise he would have had a hayday. My mom and sister came over for dinner later in the afternoon and we had fun playing some games.
New years was not what we thought it was going to be, but we had lots of fun. We have some friends in Utah that come stay with us every new years, but they weren't able to make it cause of the weather. But we got together with our neighbor's and played games, laughed alot, and had fun. I love having Christmas and
New Year's on a friday, becuase we got two long weekends in a row. I have to say that I am excited for Leah to go back to school on Monday. I think the girls are starting to get on each others nerves. It's been so much fun spending lots of time together though.

New Year's day we went to Blackfoot for the day. The kids all played outside for a few hours at my sisters house and then we went over to my mom's house for dinner. My girls were excited because we finally got "snowman snow". My brother in law pulled all the kids on two different sleds he had hooked together behind his four wheeler. They had a blast. And then Aaron and my brother in law built a snow man on top of my moms car. The boys had as much fun as the kids.

I'm gratefull for the good year we had this past year. Our family has been very blessed, and I know that we've been watched over. I'm so grateful for Aaron and my three children. They make me so happy. We're looking forward to a new year.
