Look who's sitting!!!(and Holloween fun)

That's right, my baby is sitting up all on his own. Make him stop growing! He has been such a fun little guy. We just love him to pieces. He is sitting, however, he is still not rolling and has no desire whatsoever to try. That's my lazy little guy. Isn't he a cutie. So you can kind of tell in the picture, but his hair is coming in blond. No idea where that comes from. Blond hair and brown eyes, that's not too common. Jax just loves his daddy. When Aaron calls during the day, I'll put the phone to his ear and he gets so excited and starts looking all around for his daddy. They already have fun wrestling. Below: Jax tackling daddy. He thinks he's so big.
Halloween is already upon us. I can't believe it. We carved our pumpkins the other night. The girls always have fun with that. The only problem is that they want to do it all by themselves. (Kelsey with a knife in her hands? SCARY!!!) We also baked our seeds. We love pumkin seeds! The other day Leah had her Halloween party at school. I went in to help out and we had a lot of fun. But being the airhead that I am, I forgot my camera and the chance to take some cute pictures of Leah with her school friends. I'm still kicking myself. It was so fun meeting all the kids she talks about from school. And the best part was that Leah loved having me there! (How long does that last?)
Here's the finished products of our Halloween imaginations.

6 years, and 6 months

Leah turned 6 on Wednesday. I can't believe it. It probably will go down in her books as one of her worst birthdays though. That sounds sad, but she was sick and just not feeling well. I took her into the doctor on Monday because she had such a high fever and there are people in our neighborhood who had the swine flu. So I figured I better be safe. She tested positive for influenza, and they told her she probably had the swine flu because that's what most people had that were getting checked. They said they weren't going to send it in to get checked for swine flu, because it costs $400 and insurances don't usually cover it, and there's not really a whole lot they can do anyway. So I took her home(they made us leave through the back door and told us just to mail in our copay:) It was kind of funny), and I called her friends to cancel her birthday party that we had planned. And I talked to her teacher and told her she wouldn't be back till next week. Well, the next day Leah was doing so much better. Her fever was gone and she just had a cough. I think it's safe to say it wasn't the swine flu. But it still messed up her birthday. She still had an okay time I think, with just us. And she got a scooter which she as thrilled about (Kelsey was very jealous and is already asking for one for her birthday). And I made her a birthday cake, which I don't know why I did. She does not like cake and never eats it. Not even the one slice I put on a plate after she blew out her candles. She did eat the ice cream though. I know I say this every year, but next year I'm going to remember to just buy her a candy bar and shove a candle in the middle.

Well, on the same day as Leah's 6th birthday, Jax turned 6 months. They are five and a half years apart to the day. For some reason, I scheduled his 6 month checkup on Leah's birthday. So that added to the fun. Anyway, Jax is now 14lbs and 27in long. He's starting to even out, instead of 5% for weight and 90% for height, he's now 10% for weight and 80% for height. Big boy! He's still our little lazy boy though. No rolling over still. He just wants to stand when we hold him. I think he'll just walk first before he rolls or crawls. He is such a joy to have in our home. He brings such a smile to our face. The girls just love him to peices and play wth him and hold him. He adores them, you can tell already. When they come into the room, his face just lights up.
